This Post Goes out to Ryan
So I was hanging out with Ryan and B today (happy anniversary you two) and Ryan said to me, "Why aren't you posting on your blog anymore?" I gave him a lame excuse saying that I didn't think anyone was reading it, but apparently Ryan checks it like a bajillion times a day while at work How was I to know? The real reason is that I'm really close to getting this blog moved over to nuclearnuisance.net. Yeah, I won't have all the neato stuff in place, but I will have a better site that is my own.
So what has been going on in my life besides that? Well I beat Half-Life 1 on Tuesday. I was so proud of myself. It had taken quite awhile to get there and I finally did it. The game is awesome and that is even though its graphics aren't breath taking like modern games. I really enjoed it (and can easily see where Halo copies it and where it improves upon.) I'm currently working on the Blue Shift expansion for Half-Life 1. After that I may need to break down and get Half-Life 2 if I can afford it.
That's the other thing. Rita and I are taking a trip to London in September and I just looked at my credit card. I'm so po'. I need to curb my spending in a rather serious way if I'm going to be able to buy a house a year from now. I originally thought that I could afford a house with a yard and stuff, but now I'm thinking that I might need to settle on a townhouse or really nice condo since the housing prices are so insane. The thing that worries me though is that the housing bubble will burst and then I'll be stuck in a place with a loan that is over priced on a place I didn't want to live out the rest of my days in. I can see why many people are starting to prefer renting to buying right now.
Lastly, take a look at this post on The New Wisdom concerning free will. I am on the side for free will but I am quickly learning that almost everyone else on that thread is a computer programmer that likes to think everything is a program. So swing by and please give me a little support. Please. I'll be your best friend :)

Happy Anniversary, R&B!!!!
Jeremy, I, too, stop by at your blog at least twice a day. Don't think no one's reading. No one's reading MINE :)
There's a restaurant in London that you two HAVE to go to. I don't recall the name offhand, I'll have to get it from my brother, but trust me - you'll be glad you went. I'll call you sometime soon with the info.

It's not that I think life is a computer program per se, nor do I think our being programmers has much to do with it. If you answer "yes" to the two questions I pose ( http://thenewwisdom.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=989#989 ) you're on the same side of the debate as I am, and I'm sure that programmers aren't the only ones who would answer yes to them. I will pose those questions to some non-programmers to see what results I get.
I read your blog Jeremy. Lets talk Real Estate sometime. I'll tell you my insightful opinion of the market.
